The vision of the secondary science program in Bloomington is to create an inquiry based educational environment where every student can not only learn, but thrive. We will create a collaborative environment based on respect where students guide each other and learn from each other’s strengths and experiences. By focusing on higher order thinking skills and using a variety of technologies, we will create a classroom dedicated to engaging, hands-on experiments with real world scientific and engineering applications. The curriculum will make interdisciplinary connections, encompass multiple learning experiences, and include an understanding of our relationship to the natural world.
